Coagulation effect of polyferric sulfate at low temperature
If polyferric sulfate is used in winter, pay more attention to its dissolution time, because the dissolution of the substance has a great relationship with temperature. Therefore, it is difficult for the substance to reach the dissolution requirement when the temperature is low in winter at the same time in winter, so we need to increase the dissolution time in winter to make better use of it.
It is well known that the temperature difference between winter and summer is tens of degrees. Due to the temperature problem, the dissolution rate and molecular chain extension of polyferric sulfate will be affected. It takes about one and a half hours for the normal dissolution of polyferric sulfate dry powder. In winter, due to the low temperature, it takes one and a half hours for the dissolution of polyferric sulfate dry powder to completely dissolve and extend the molecular chain of the product.
So in general, the reason for increasing the dissolution time in winter is mainly due to the low temperature in winter and the decrease of material activity in wastewater, which is not conducive to the dissolution of polyferric sulfate and is not insoluble. Therefore, we have to wait patiently to ensure that the specified service requirements are met.
In the cold north or when the water temperature is below 20 C, the solubility of PFS decreases with decreasing temperature. Therefore, the dosage of polyferric sulfate at low temperature should be paid attention to:
1. Increase the concentration of PFS agent slightly. According to the actual temperature, increase the concentration of PFS solution gradually by five thousandths.
2. Adjust the dosage. Field personnel shall adjust the dosage of PFS according to the coagulation condition after dosing.
3. Temperature regulation. Especially when the water temperature is below 2 C, the dissolving speed of PFS is very slow and the effect is relatively weak. Therefore, in order not to waste medicaments and the treatment effect is too great to be weakened, it is necessary to adopt covering insulation device or indoor wastewater treatment.
