Production process of polyaluminium ferric chloride (PAFC)

According to the existing technical documents and production process practice, the production process of polyaluminum ferric chloride (PAFC) is summarized as follows:

I. Mainstream production process classification

1. Acid dissolution one-step method

  • Raw materials: aluminum ash, aluminum slag, bauxite, iron ore and other aluminum iron minerals
  • process sequence:
  • ① Raw material crushed to 40-60 mesh → ② mixed with hydrochloric acid/sulfuric acid (conditions: 80-100℃,3-5 atmospheres) → ③ added high alumina ash to adjust polymerization → ④ precipitation separation → ⑤ liquid or solid product (spray/drum drying)
  • Features: low cost, fast reaction, but heavy metal impurities need to be strictly controlled
